The Will James Roundup is a working ranch horse and ranch-style rodeo held in Hardin, Montana at The Big Horn County Fairgrounds. 2012 marks the second year for this spectacular event which will be held on July 13th, 14th, & 15th. This event helps raise funds for maintenance and repair of the Will James cabins, located at the Big Horn County Museum.

Will James was a noted cowboy, author, and artist who owned the Rocking R Ranch east of Pryor, Montana. In 2009, his log studio and two cabins were donated to The Big Horn County Museum by The Sunlight Ranch and moved to the museum grounds. With proceeds from the Inaugural Event in 2011, the Will James Roundup Staff was able to gift $4,000- toward the support of the Will James Project, offering an opportunity for the public to be a part of and participate in this local 3-day event.

This is one of the premier events to watch at The Will James Roundup - offering excitement, danger, and athletic prowess on the part of both horse & rider. Read More
